GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

At Nashville Counseling Associates (NCA), we are committed to transparency in your care. In accordance with the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) explaining the expected costs of your mental health services.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

A Good Faith Estimate is a written explanation of the expected cost of therapy services for clients who are:

  • Uninsured, or

  • Choosing to self-pay for services

Because Nashville Counseling Associates does not directly bill insurance, all services are provided on a self-pay basis. Some clients may choose to seek reimbursement from their insurance provider independently using a superbill, but this is handled directly between the client and their insurance company.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate:

  • Before your first appointment

  • At any point during your care

  • For any upcoming or scheduled services

We will provide this estimate in writing, typically via email or secure client communication.

What the Estimate Includes

Your Good Faith Estimate will include:

  • The clinician’s session fee

  • The expected frequency of sessions

  • An estimated total cost for a defined period of care

  • Any additional anticipated services, if applicable

Please note that this is an estimate based on the anticipated course of treatment and may change depending on your individual needs and goals.

Important Information

Your actual cost of care may vary if:

  • Your treatment plan changes over time

  • Session frequency increases or decreases

  • Additional services are recommended as part of your care

  • Treatment extends beyond the originally estimated timeframe

Any changes in cost or frequency of services will be discussed with you as they arise.

Insurance & Reimbursement

While NCA does not bill insurance directly, we are happy to provide a superbill upon request. A superbill is a detailed receipt that you may submit to your insurance company if you wish to seek possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Coverage varies by plan, and reimbursement is not guaranteed. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your out-of-network mental health benefits.
