Dr. Brooke Foxworthy is a Licensed Professional Counselor with offices in Nashville and Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and her Doctoral degree in Clinical Counseling from Trevecca University in Nashville. Brooke has been practicing therapy since 2007 and also serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Family Services at Lipscomb University. Additionally, she has several years of experience as a primary counselor in an Intensive Outpatient Program at a local substance use disorder treatment center.

Brooke’s vision for counseling is to create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore challenges, foster insight, and move toward meaningful change. She understands that therapy can be a difficult—yet deeply rewarding—process and values meeting clients with compassion, curiosity, and respect. Brooke is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach that helps individuals process unresolved trauma and distressing life experiences.

Her areas of focus include trauma, substance use disorders, narcissistic abuse, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, and relational conflicts. Dr. Brooke Foxworthy is an approved supervisor by the state of Tennessee.

“I believe healing happens within a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. It is an honor to walk alongside clients as they explore their stories, build insight, and work toward greater authenticity, resilience, and connection.”

Outside of counseling and the classroom, Brooke enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her Chocolate Lab, Bella. She also enjoys traveling, staying active, and watching college football.
