Caroline West

Caroline West is a professional therapist currently pursuing full licensure in the Nashville area. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University and a Master’s of Education in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. While pursuing her graduate degree, Caroline gained clinical experience working individually and facilitating group therapy in both intensive outpatient and residential settings.

Caroline utilizes an integrative approach to therapy. She draws from traditional therapeutic modalities, as well as somatic and mindfulness-based practices to best help individuals align and strengthen their minds, bodies, and spirits. She has also received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). While she has experience working with a variety of presenting concerns, her specialties include mood disorders, major life transitions, and religious/ spiritual trauma.

“I believe that health and healing do not simply come from the absence of illness and suffering, but rather in the presence of joy and meaning. I am passionate about meeting clients where they are and walking beside them as they reconnect to who they are beyond the discomfort of psychological pain.”

Outside of work, Caroline enjoys spending time in the sunshine, listening to live music, watching documentaries, and playing with a cat that she never saw herself owning.

Caroline is currently fulfilling the Tennessee licensure requirement of post-masters supervision and is receiving supervision from Dr. Kristi Marshall, an approved supervisor by the state of Tennessee.
